Daily Sudoku gives you an unlimited supply of fresh puzzles, generated on the spot by our own puzzle engine — no two games are ever the same. Every board is created with a full valid solution first, then clues are removed to match your chosen difficulty, so every puzzle is guaranteed solvable by logic alone. You never need to guess.
The game runs entirely in your browser, works offline once loaded, and is tuned for touch: tap a cell, tap a number, and keep your streak going on the bus or at your desk. Your best times stay on your device.
How to play Sudoku
The rules take ten seconds to learn: fill the 9×9 grid so that every row, every column, and every 3×3 box contains the digits 1 through 9 exactly once. Some cells are already filled in as clues — your job is to deduce the rest.
- Select a cell, then tap a number on the pad (or press a key on desktop) to place it.
- Mistakes are counted — three wrong entries end the game, so think before you tap.
- Undo takes back your last move, and Erase clears a cell you're unsure about.
- Hints reveal the correct digit for a tricky cell and briefly highlight it so you can see how it fits.
Choosing a difficulty
Easy — 41 clues
Half the grid is filled for you. Solvable with simple scanning — ideal for learning the ropes or a relaxed coffee-break game.
Medium — 31 clues
You'll need systematic elimination and some note-keeping in your head. A satisfying step up once Easy feels automatic.
Hard — 23 clues
Sparse grids that demand real technique — candidate elimination, pairs, and patience. Expect 15+ minute solves.
Three tips to solve faster
- Scan for the most frequent digit. If a number already appears six or seven times on the board, the remaining placements are usually forced. Clearing a digit entirely is the fastest way to open up the grid.
- Work boxes in bands. Look at three 3×3 boxes in a row. If a digit sits in two of them, the rows it occupies eliminate positions in the third box — often down to a single cell.
- Hunt for "lone rangers". When a cell has only one digit that can legally go there, place it immediately; every placement creates new forced moves elsewhere.

The game ends, but you can immediately start a fresh puzzle — or continue by watching a short ad, which rolls back one mistake. The limit is there to encourage careful, deliberate play rather than trial-and-error.
Do I need to install anything or sign up?
No. The game is a single lightweight web page — it runs on any modern phone, tablet, or computer with no app, no account, and no cost.
Is Sudoku a math game?
Not really — no arithmetic is involved. The digits are just nine distinct symbols; the puzzle is pure logic and pattern recognition. That's why it works equally well with letters or shapes.
